Area couple on Friday night's "My Big Redneck Wedding"

Tune into CMT tomorrow night at 9 p.m. for the season finale of "My Big Redneck Wedding." The episode features a Westmoreland County couple, Kelli and Ron, who get married at a demolition derby.

If you haven't seen the show before, it features somewhat outrageous, rural weddings--no doubt made more outrageous with the assistance of the TV network. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Kelli and Ron were planning a justice of the peace wedding before CMT contacted them for the show after hearing Ron suggest his demolition derby idea on a radio talk show.

Tune in Friday and then stop back to share your comments about the show.

What's your favorite TV wedding?

Someone posted a poll on voote.com about favorite TV weddings. The choices in this poll are clearly pretty recent, but which is your favorite? Do you have any others not on the list?

I'd have to say my top choice from this list is Phoebe and Mike's wedding from Friends (admittedly, I haven't even seen a lot of the other choices). But that's not even my top wedding-related moment from the series. TBS has a collection of wedding clips from the series on their Web site right now. . .I think my favorite is the episode with Monica, Phoebe and Rachel all wearing wedding gowns in the apartment.

But really, I'd have to say my favorite TV wedding is Lily and Marshall in How I Met Your Mother. The second half of last season was all wedding related, and I absolutely loved it! If you're in the process of planning you wedding, rent season 2 of How I Met Your Mother. From the bridal shower to fitting in the dress to a disastrous but perfect wedding, the shows were hilarious and totally relate-able.

Spending money like there's no tomorrow

My TiVo's been recording episodes of My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding on VH1 lately. It's similar to Platinum Weddings, with the all out spare nothing budgets (or should I say lack of budgets), but at least from what I've seen, there seems to be more of a focus on the strain the big wedding puts on the couple.

My favorite episode so far has to be Erica and Shae. I kept thinking the whole time I watched it how much of a Jessica Simspon wannabe Erica looked like...and when she got all excited when she heard Jessica had used the same cigar bar company I almost lost it. I also chuckled throughout the show, wondering how much money they would have saved if any of their vendors were actually located in Maui, where the wedding was, instead of shipping it all (plus the staff) over from the mainland.

These wedding shows, though completely removed from most people's reality, can be entertaining to watch...and can definitely be a source of inspiration and ideas for your own wedding, even if you can't go as grand or couture!
